Fuerteventura – Wild Landscapes
Fuerteventura is part of the Canary Islands, west of Morocco in the Atlantic Ocean. The proximity to Africa, better, the proximity to the Sahara is causal for the dune areas in the north near Corallejo and the wonderful sandy beaches especially along the east coast of the island. Black lava rock often meets golden sand. The west coast braces itself against the mighty surf of the Atlantic. The pictures shown here would like to give a first impression of these mighty landscapes. Fuerteventura, like the rest of the Canary Islands, is of volcanic origin.
